The Colors of Joy
Recently, as I was leafing through a few of the magazines that we frequently find on our bookshelves and in community rooms, I was particularly struck by photos. One image spoke to me more than others: the radiant smile of a very poor child who held a piece of wood to her ear pretending that it was a cell phone. What a happy child!
I allowed myself to be caught up by a conviction that we frequently share and that could surprise us by its immediacy: it is not things that make us ...

Yearning for the future
An eastern sage once said: “If I would have
the omnipotence of God for a moment, the
only miracle I would work would be that of

Speaking informally to God
The great French painter, Henri Matisse,
wrote to a friend: “As I do every morning, I
am now going to say my prayers , with a
pencil in my hand, before a pomegranate
tree I am filled permeated with
admiration...Is this not a way to pray? In
those moments it is God who guides my
hand in the drawing”.
Having discovered the mystery of God in
the miracle of nature, an artist who was
apparently far from the faith, understood
how ...

Together
A weeklong stay in Cesuna, a mountain
village at 1000 meters of altitude,
surrounded by vast fields of pine trees and
with a panorama of the Venetian
Dolomites…For a few years now the
editorial group of the DMA has met here for
a time of evaluation and programming. The
community environment and the climate of
the group have provided the best support
for the research and meeting.
Even the meetings of August, 2006
demonstrated intense reflection and ...
