Bosco Youth Fest 2015 (INK-India)
A Youth Fest was arranged by the sisters of INK-India from 10 – 12 July 2015 at Sacred Heart Convent – Provincial house Bangalore, for the youngsters of the four states namely Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala. The bubbling youngsters around 293 with their smiling faces arrived in with lots of enthusiasm accompanied by the local youth animators of our centres. Theme for the 3-day fest was “Dream and Dare like Don Bosco”.
It was a colourful Youth March! The Auxilium School Band, Bandapura led the multi linguistic group towards the ground to hoist the AYM flag to declare the Youth Meet open. The youngsters lined up lead by the flag bearers with name of the centres on the flag and marched accompanied by the local youth animators. The guests followed the group. Reaching the ground the youngsters formed a semi circle, it was indeed a feast to the eye. The President Sr. Crescentia D’Almeida hoisted the AYM flag and declared open the Youth Meet. All headed to Sr. Nancy Memorial Hall to proceed with the Inaugural Ceremony. Dignitaries on Diaz – Rev. Sr. Crescentia D’Almeida was the President. Rev. Fr. Tom Uzhanalil SDB the Administrator of KJC was the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Maria Anand SDB the Karnataka Region Youth Coordinator, Mrs. Revathi K M The Deputy Chairman of Women and Child Department, The Superiors of the campus communities namely, Sr. Anna Chacko, Sr. Celine Jacob, Sr. Sherly Joseph, Sr. Bridget the Province Youth Co-ordinator and youth representatives Miss Divya and Master Subramanyam.
The youth from the Bannerghatta house performed a prayer dance leading the whole group in prayer. The Dignitaries lit the Indian Lamp and invoked God’s blessings on the event.
Sr. Bridget, the Province Youth Coordinator, welcomed the gathering with her usual graceful way. The Presidential address followed. Rev. Sr. Crescentia D’Almeida delivered her message to the youngsters exhorting them to live, love and grow towards their dream.
In key note address Fr. Tom said that two memories in the life of John made him what he became, the first being the death of the father at the age of 2 and the poverty and hunger he experience in his younger days. Little John dared to dream inspite of many barriers.
The messages of Mrs. Revathi and Rev. Fr. Maria Anand were to change the world with positivity.
Various sessions were animated with different topics keeping up to the Theme:

- Don Bosco a Man of God – Sr. Sangitha
- Don Bosco a dreamer – Bro Deepak
- Don Bosco a Man of Prayer – Bro. Papireddy
The other special features of the gathering were the Quiz on the life of Don Bosco, Taize Prayer, Exhibition presenting the life of Don Bosco, cultural bonanza and camp fire.
It was a tremendous experience for the young people and the sisters to gather together with Don Bosco as the reason. The young girls and boys were enriched and also expressed their gratitude to the sisters who made it happen.
